OUR HISTORY
S.E.P.M.A.R.s history dates back some 30 years, originally conducting supply, servicing and training of portable fire fighting equipment. From that experience with the safety industry it was identified that there was a void in technician support for companies using safety cabinets that automatically self-close and lock.
These cabinets had from 7 to 14 moving parts that would make this self-closing, locking function work, these other brands of safety cabinets construction were restrictive to the user and when subject to consistent force this would cause damage and faulting of that closing action.
The user would also be decanting the contents from these safety cabinets and usually nearby would be safety showers and or eye wash stations which contain filters and valves that would become blocked or seize due to various elements. The dispersion of water had to be accurate and measurable to correctly isolate the affected area of a person contaminated requiring first aid.
S.E.P.M.A.R. was formulated in 1995 to specialise in this niche field of safety equipment where our role was to support the companies using this particular safety equipment wanting to guarantee that their safety showers or eye wash stations would work in case of an emergency and the safety cabinets function correctly on a daily basis to prevent the risks of spills, contamination, combustion causing explosion or exposure to naked sparks causing fire.
Cabinets
Resulting from repetitive repairs to other brands of safety cabinets with their many moving parts S.E.P.M.A.R. invented (patented) their unique single action only one moving part dual door sequential closing system for the effective closing of insulated double doors fitted with over and underlapping safety seals.
S.E.P.M.A.R. further enhanced this by using alloy parts at contact points to reduce the sparking risk of iron metal contact points currently used by other brands. The free moving non-restrictive action of S.E.P.M.A.R.s device used with external spring bound pin hinges allowed for the doors to open 270 degrees while other brands would only allow for 90 to 180 degrees.
Distribution
S.E.P.M.A.R. has expanded our manufactured product distribution Australia wide, as well as to New Zealand and internationally with the ability to supply complete sea container freight loads to a wholesale market direct to the clients port of choice.<p>
